Founded in 1963 by the (then) Department of Agricultural Economics, and originally known as the “Agricultural Biannual Economics Journal”, the journal was renamed as the “Taiwan Journal of Applied Economics” (TJAE) in 2008. With more than 50 years of history, the journal has already published 95 articles as of June 2013. TJAE is published in two issues each year, namely every June and December, with a double-blind refereeing process.
TJAE is dedicated to all research areas in Economics including, among others, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Industrial Economics, Energy Economics, Environmental Economics, International Trade, International Finance, Empirical Finance, Health Economics, Labor Economics, Agricultural Economics, Natural Resources, and Applied Econometrics. This journal has been growing in reputation, especially in recent years, as it has entered the ranks as one of a few domestic Economics journals that are listed in the Taiwan Social Science Citation Index (TSSCI).
